Is anyone able to tell me what show is premiering on February 9? Did I hear someone excitingly squeal, “The Walking Dead”! Yep, you got it. My husband is excited to have a few of his buddies over for a watch party. In honor of all the zombie killing that is to come, I’ve joined with six of #myfavoritebloggers to bring a Zombie Warning Door Hanging– perfect for “inviting” your friends into your home– and 7 Zombie Inspired Projects.
This project is so quick and easy. The supply list is simple:
- White or cream fabric remnant approximately 24″ by 24″— be sure the edges are frayed. The worse shape the fabric, the better. 🙂
- Red and black paint
- 2 dowel rods
- Thick string
- Hot glue and hot glue gun
Begin by painting the words on the fabric. I used my fingers. I thought it would be realistic.
In red: Stop
In Black: Zombie Apocalypse in progress
Let dry.
Turn fabric so painted side is down. Place a dowel rod on top edge and hot glue in place. Repeat with a dowel rod at the bottom edge.
Cut a piece of heavy string and glue to the top edge along dowel rod line.
Done! Get ready for your zombie themed party.

My son loves this show. A bit gruesome for me, but hey, they’re not real…right?
