{You’ve Got Mail} at the Playhouse

Does your kiddo enjoy checking the mail as much as mine? Princess loves to check the mail. So when a generous couple at our church gave us a playhouse for her a few months back, I decided she needed her own mailbox.

I scoured thrift stores and yard sales until I found this baby for five bucks.

Functional? Yes. Perfect for a playhouse? Umm…no.

I took the flag off the mail box and coated the entire thing with white spray paint. I then made vinyl stencils with my Cricut. I used these to customize the mailbox with girly flowers and her name.

The hubby made a little mailbox post and inserted the post into the ground by the playhouse.

I wonder if the mailman will deliver her mail out here??

Perfect!! I had a little mail box for our daughter when she was learning to read. I’d write letters daily (using the reading concepts she had learned to date) and put them in her mailbox. She LOVED it, and it gave her great practice in reading. What a sweet photo!

I just love this!! When my daughter was young (kindergarten?) she decided she needed to send a letter. I had no idea, but noticed the flag to our mailbox was up. I asked Hubby if he mailed anything & when he said no, I was curious, so I opened the mailbox to see what was there. Answer: A envelope addressed to the Fairy on one of her videos!

Love the idea of a mailbox for a playhouse! I already painted my mailbox with wisteria and purple coneflowers, so since we need a new one I should pass that along to my girls! Thanks for the idea!!
