I’ve experimented with different tree themes over the years. Three years ago, I did a candy themed tree. It was bright and colorful with pinks, purples, and blues. Large peppermint candies adorned the tree, and we even had a turquoise tree skirt. My daughter liked it, but I had a hard time adjusting to it. The past two years, we didn’t put up our large tree because the triplets were too small. I let my daughter decorate our smaller tree with whatever ornaments that she wanted. In true child-like fashion, it was an eclectic tree with Santa on a Tractor on one side and Dora the Explorer on the other.
My favorite tree has also been a classic Christmas tree. Red and green. Buffalo check. Rustic bells. Add a little woodland inspiration, and I love it!
While shopping over Black Friday, I picked up these ornaments for inspiration. One of these I am sending to a fellow blogger through an ornament exchange. The others I am hanging on my tree.
Which of these ornaments do you like best? I’m partial to the bear and the squirrel. My kids love watching squirrels, and, as I shared in a previous post for this DIY Glitter Bear Ornament, one of the triplets is obsessed with bears. So the squirrel and the bear bring fond thoughts to mind for me in addition to being a nice touch for a classic tree.
Do you have a favorite tree theme? Post your Christmas tree to my Facebook wall and show me your tree!
