- If you have a remnant of already quilted fabric, use that. It saves time. However, I do feel like this made my bag alittle more “floppy” than I originally wanted. As in, maybe if I had bought some sturdier batting and quilted the fabric myself, maybe the bag would have had a more defined shape. But once things go into the bag, it won’t be as noticeably “floppy”, so I was ok with this. The “saving time” was a good trade-off.
- I wanted an outer pocket on my bag like tutorial picture showed, but these instructions weren’t included in the tutorial. I tried it anyway and wound up putting it on wrong- but didn’t realize it until it was too late to really fix it.
- The strap is long- if you are making this for a shorter or younger child, shorten it a few inches.
- All in all, this is a good tutorial for making a customizable baby doll diaper bag.
