What Snacks Do We Use During On the Go Play?

CLIF Kid Zbar® AD

We’ve been making a conscious change in the food that we feed our kids during this year. There are some food items that I have decided to just not purchase for our pantry anymore, especially specific snacks. When the kids go to a house or party and eat these items that we no longer keep around, I see a big difference in the way that they act. I’m making more real food meals at home and offering simpler snacks at home.

Fruit, cheese, and veggies comprise the majority of the kids’ snacks when we are at home, but sometimes I still struggle with the busy mom desire of wishing I had something packaged that I can just pull out of my bag and give them or have on hand at their places of play.  You know, something that doesn’t have to be cut or washed or refrigerated but is still a nutritious food to keep them energized.

I recently read a statistic that while 70% of moms played outside when they were kids, only 31% of their kids play outside today. Wowza! I can say for certain that my kids are in the 31% of kids who play outside daily. Even on the hot days this summer, we head out early in the morning to beat the heat or have water play. But with lots of outside play comes a need for hydration and nutritious snacking.

Enter CLIF Kid Zbar®. I’ve been purchasing these from various retailers for about four months now. I remember the first time that I stood in the aisle, searching for a snack to keep on hand that was made with organic ingredients and did not have artificial flavors or synthetic preservatives. The CLIF Kid Zbar® packaging caught my eye. I purchased the Chocolate Chip Cookie CLIF Kid Zbar® variety, and the kids have been enjoying them ever since.

My kids like all the CLIF Kid Zbar® flavors, even though the Chocolate Chip Cookie and the S’Mores are their favorite. CLIF Kid snacks feature nutrients that active kids need in flavors they crave. I also appreciate the CLIF Kid brand messaging. The brand is dedicated to reclaiming play and encouraging boys and girls everywhere to get back to playing outside!

If you are looking for a snack to have on hand during on-the-go play, let your kids try the CLIF Kid Zbar®. If ALL FOUR of my kids can agree on a snack, I think that there’s a good chance that your kids will enjoy them, too.

It’s so handy to have a snack like this in your purse for those busy “out and about” play dates!
