I shared this Washi Tape Flower Gift Tag over at WashiTapeCrafts.com about a month ago. I’m excited to share them with you here on my own blog today! I made several of these in ten minutes, and I have them on hand for last minute gift giving. Even if I don’t give a handmade gift, I like knowing that I can add a special touch to my gift wrapping with these Washi Tape Flower Gift Tags. And with the large variety of washi tape available, I can make a tag to go with any gift wrap color scheme.
Ready to make these? You’ll need the following supplies:
- Washi Tape
- Craft Buttons
- A Blank Gift Tag- if you have a cutting machine, like a Cricut or Silhouette, you can cut your own. If not, pick up blank ones at a local craft store.
- A spot of glue or a Glue Dot
Begin by cutting a length of washi tape approximately 1.5″. This is a piece of washi tape for the petal, so use the appropriate color.
Fold the piece of washi tape not quite in half– leaving a portion of the sticky tape exposed.
Make three of these and place them on the tag. You will not need any glue for this step– use the exposed sticky portion.
Cut a piece of green washi tape for the stem. Place in it the center of the tag, and make sure that it is long enough that the top will be covered by the remaining petal pieces.
Cut five more petal pieces of washi tape and fold them like those in the above step. Apply those on the gift tag in a flower pattern.
Grab an appropriate sized craft button and glue it in the center.
Do you learn better by watching someone do it? Then check out the video on how to make these!
Now stock up! Make a lot of these to have for quick gifting. If you create one, I’d love for you to upload it to my Facebook page so that I can see it!
So fun! I love how easy and customizable these gift tags are to make. Thanks for the idea!
