The Creation Museum was the last stop on our spring break trip. Thank you to the Creation Museum for providing our family with tickets to facilitate our visit.
After the awesomeness of the Ark Encounter, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect with the Creation Museum. We decided to visit because it is considered the “sister attraction” to the Ark Encounter. However, after growing up in church and learning about the creation, we were wondering exactly how could the Creation Museum have enough to fill up an entire museum.
Boy, was I wrong! The Creation Museum was an awesome experience. With a nature walk, a petting zoo, and a special exhibit on dinosaurs, the Creation Museum was much more than any of our family expected. It was right up there with the Ark Encounter.
The Creation Museum had many of the elements that you would image- a detailed description of the creation and a discussion of dinosaurs- but there were other surprising exhibits there, too.
My kids loved Dr. Crawley’s Insectorium. There were numerous insects in the exhibit, and the triplets enjoyed seeing who could locate the largest insect.
I have one little boy who is a dinosaur lover. He enjoyed the dinosaur exhibit the most.
While there were several “no-touch” exhibits, there were also interactive exhibits that the kids could touch. We all know that kids love to touch everything, making this a big deal.
The different creation exhibits were more thorough than I had imagined that they would be. My own personal favorite was the elaborate re-creation of the Garden of Eden. This was just one of many of the gorgeous exhibits.
Each section had explanations to debunk many common misconceptions that are not Biblically based.
After going through the interior exhibits, we enjoyed a walk through the nature trail. My boys LOVE bridges, and the nature trail has a few different bridges that we could cross.
The Creation Museum also offers zip lines and a petting zoo. The zip lines are an additional cost, but the petting zoo is included with the ticket price.
If you are headed to the Ark Encounter, I definitely recommend purchasing the joint ticket option for the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum. The kids will find it just as fascinating as the adults!
Love your posts…thank you for sharing…
Thank you for stopping by! ๐
Amazing museum! Such interactive museums are fun as well as provide intellectual knowledge to the kids and adults both alike.
Oh this looks like an interesting exhibit!
I love places like this. Where you can learn with interest, how things developed and were back in the day. I visited caverns with family several years ago, in Arkansas and watching how rocks can change over time from just a touch is amazing.
It looks like you guys had a great time! I wish they had a Creation Museum in my area. I would love my kiddos to have fun and learn at the same time.
What a fun museum. I love bringing my kids to museums because they learn so much. We haven’t been to an interactive museum. I hope we could visit this one day.
That looks like such an interesting museum for those who believe in creationism. The hands-on exhibits look like fun for kids, especially the dinosaur exhibits. The bridges look like they would be fun for kids, too! Funny fact, I used to be terrified of wooden bridges as a kid. I did outgrow it eventually, lol.
What a wonderful museum! While we don’t have kids at home anymore .. my husband and I still stop at museums every chance we get. Those that are interactive are a lot more fun and I always seem to learn more if I can be hands on. Thanks for sharing the Creation Museum with your readers!
If I took my kids here they would never want to leave!! This place even looks interesting for adults to peruse as well.
My oldest and youngest would absolutely love to visit this museum!! They both love bugs and all things history – especially dinosaurs!
What an awesome place for kids. My boys would love visiting this museum too. They love dinosaurs and history!
This place looks fun and educational! Looks like some awesome exhibits and very good photo recaps of it! I would love to do the zip lining!
