Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching. For those of us with little kids, we have to decide if we are going Team Store-Bought or Team Homemade with the Valentines this year. For some, there may be no decision. Store-bought is easy, cute, and there are more non-candy options than in past years. Yet Valentine’s Day is also a time for those who love crafting to pull out the card stock and Cricut machine and to make homemade Valentines for their kiddos to pass out in the classroom. Neither option is better than the other; they both send the kiddos to school with handouts for their class. But for those who are handmaking Valentines this year, I have a few new options for you. Last week, I shared this Hooked On You Valentine’s Day Classroom handout. Today, I’m featuring every kid’s favorite trending item: slime.
I found these small containers of sand slime at Oriental Trading. They are the perfect size for this project.
For those crafters without a Cricut machine, this project can also be made by the kiddos with card stock and markers.
Supplies:
- Cricut machine – The Cricut Maker or Cricut Explore Air series machines will work for this project.
- Cricut LightGrip Cutting Mat
- Cricut Pen, 0.4 tip in black
- Card stock
- Small containers of slime
- Glue stick
- Glue Dots
Open up Cricut Design Space. Use my already designed cut file found here. To resize the cut file for your size slime container, click “customize.” Otherwise, click “make it now.”
