If you are looking for a quick and easy gift wrapping idea for Teacher Appreciation, this is it! It takes about five minutes and minimal supplies. A special thanks to Udderly Smooth for sending product for this project today!
Since my daughter is in “big school” now, I have a new found appreciation for teachers. The fact that I also currently have a small preschool of my own (a.k.a. triplets) also deepens my respect for them. I love my kiddos, and I enjoy being with them daily. But I think it takes a special person who desires to work in an environment with other people’s children day in and day out. Teachers definitely deserve all the “Teacher Appreciation” that we can dole out! Today I have a quick Tissue Paper Apple Gift that is great for Teacher Appreciation. Seriously, this gift wrap took under five minutes to make!
Supplies:
- Red tissue paper
- Green wired sisal rope
- Thin leather scrap
- Hot glue gun and hot glue
- Scissors
First, head to a store and buy your child’s teacher a jar of super-duper hand cream. Seriously, do you know how many times a day that they wash their hands? They need a good hand cream! This Udderly Smooth body cream (I find mine at CVS) is great for those who consistently wash their hands.
Place the jar in the center of the tissue paper. Pull the tissue paper up around the jar. Wrap the wired sisal rope around the tissue paper, securing the ends with the hot glue gun. While wrapping the sisal rope, since it is wired, pull out a portion and shape it to resemble a leaf. Cut the extra tissue paper right above the sisal rope.
Use the hot glue gun to secure the leather scrap around the top of the remaining tissue paper. This is to resemble a stem.
