Teacher Appreciation Clutches- Simplicity pattern 2274

Are you enjoying Clutch Week? I hope you’ve popped over and entered to win a clutch from Finding My Way in Texas! Why make your own when you can WIN ONE!!??!!

So maybe you’re not into freestyling your own clutch pattern. If that’s the case, Simplicity Pattern 2274 is for you! Of course, this is another one of my Black Friday 99 cent patterns. Totally worth it, too. I made 7 of these babies for Teacher Appreciation gifts! I’m going to fill them with neat things and give them to the wonderful teacher’s in Princess’ life!! But..shh…it’s a secret ๐Ÿ™‚

This is a very simple pattern that requires just the basics. Playing around with the Peltex may be hard for beginners, but it can be easily mastered. Check out my post on Tips with Peltex before you begin.ย

I added a few embellishments to the front. I used Coats and Clark fat quarters for the outside fabric. One of the advantages to this pattern is that it allows for extra room in the body of the clutch, so us ladies can fit more crap inside! Yay!!
Anyone tried this pattern before? Any comments?

I’m going to make a clutch for my daughters teacher this year too! I got a free pattern from ithinksew that looks to be right simple! Glad to find someone else with the same idea that I have! ๐Ÿ™‚

Love the fabric you used. Lucky teachers. I still have all the handmade things the kids gave me when I was teaching (several years on) and the memories of each child that gave them to me.

You are so inspiring me with these clutch purses! I went out the other day and bought fabric for two of them. AND, I’ve pinned them. SO fun. I can’t wait to give them as gifts!

These are just too cute and I am totally loving that there is extra room in the body of the clutch for us to really load it up with all our extra crap:) Hehehehehe Just dropping in to invite you to link up to Katherine’s Corner Thursday Favorite Things which I have the honor of Co-hosting today. Also I would love to invite you to Freedom Fridays Blog Hop tomorrow. So hoping to see you there.
