I’m so happy to report that another bloggy friend is releasing an awesome book! This time, it’s Ashley from Cute As a Fox, and her book just happens to be super cute– (aff link) Super Cute Crispy Treats, in fact!
My daughter and I made these Princess Wands from the book this week. They were a huge hit. I made an entire batch of them to take to my Sunday School class, but I obviously had a moment where I forgot how many kids that I have. By the end of the night, my kids had devoured them all, and I had nothing left to take to my class (Note to self: Lock up the Super Cute Crispy Treats next time.)!
There are almost 100 different no bake creations in this book. I found the directions incredibly easy to follow, and I discovered that I already had many of the supplies and ingredients in my pantry. The book includes creations for different holidays and occasions. My daughter is ready to make all of the fall themed ones for Halloween! They are all adorable!
One of the primary things that I like about the book is that the recipes are so much easier than cake balls and cake pops. I know that they are a huge trend, but I find them incredibly tedious to make. I appreciate that I can use these crispy treats to create the same look at a much simpler skill level. There is also a special chapter devoted to gluten-free and low sugar desserts. I am looking forward to a crispy treat layer cake. Maybe this time it will make it to my Sunday School class.
