Since having the triplets, we’ve had to give up many of our previous activities. Most of them I don’t mind. But one of the things we’ve given up, at least temporarily, is entertaining. It’s hard to entertain large groups when our house looks like a preschool. When occasions call for a party, we typically join in at a gathering at someone else’s home that’s not overran with Fisher Price toys. This year’s Super Bowl event will be no different. We’ll be heading to another house to watch the big game. My mom always taught me never to go to a party empty-handed, and this year I headed to Target to stock up on Super Bowl essentials to create this Super Bowl party in a box! In it are all the basics for a fun Super Bowl gathering.
Since I’m in Target at least once a week, it was no problem picking up everything that I needed. From food to essentials products to their Fan Central, Target has everyone covered for their Super Bowl bash.
I purchased all the paper products that we will need, along with snacks and candy.
Everything will be easily transported in this handy wooden crate. This crate is a piece that I have in my home collection and use frequently. If you do not have something like this in your collection at home, Target has many boxes and crates that will work.
I lined the bottom of the crate with a piece of bubble wrap to cushion the items inside and help absorb any impact from transporting the crate.
I filled the crate with my items from Target.
Then I made it look Super Bowl festive! I picked up this fun banner while in Target.
Using two wooden dowels and heavy-duty black tape, I secured one wooden dowel on each side of the crate.
I threaded a few of the banner pieces through a piece of wired rope. I then twisted the ends around the dowel rods.
I repeated this with a few more banner sections, and wrapped the ends of the rope around crate pieces on the sides.
I love projects that can be customized, and the banner on this crate can be customized in your favorite team colors or name.
If you’re going portable for this year’s Super Bowl, lessen the work for your hostess by bringing her this Super Bowl Party in a box. I guarantee that she will appreciate it!
What’s your Super Bowl look like for you? #howifootball
