Or in this case, a LOT of water! I have a two and a half year old that adores playing in the water. What toddler doesn’t, right? So as part of our summer fun, we’ve been participating in fun things that revolve around her love of splishing and splashing.
I have jumped on the Sponge Ball bandwagon. Using this tutorial from last year over at One Charming Party, the little one and I have created a not-so-complex game of splattering each other with wet sponges that leaves her begging, “Please, Mama, pleaseeee let me play with my sponges.” every time we go outside. These Sponge Balls are a hit because they are inexpensive, fun, and involve a toddler’s favorite activities- hitting other people and water.
We have also been following along with some of the activities over at the Melissa and Doug Camp Sunny Patch. Melissa and Doug provides a printable schedule of the games for the month. Each week a new activity is launched. So far, we’ve had fun with Spray Bottle Freeze Tag and Splish Splash Boom. Below is a sample of the June calendar (from the Melissa and Doug Blog).
Also if you have some summer fun posts link them up to the Summer Fun Party Carnival! You could be featured on one of 16 blogs!
Check out all my other co-hosts to see what other
summer fun action they have on their blogs.
