I’ve teamed up with my friends at Zappos.com to talk about summer fun, families, and creating memories that last a lifetime. #FindYourFun with Crocs and Zappos.com
The older my kids get, the more sentimental I get around graduation season. This year, my husband and I know eight high school students who are graduating from high school. That’s eight families who are sending their son or daughter off to college or some sort of adventure. Pondering on this for too long makes me entirely too sappy about my own kids.
I still have littles at home, but the truth is that the days are long yet the years are short. This summer, I will have three year old triplets and a six year old daughter. I’m astutely aware of the fact that I will never have that again.
And it makes me sad. But it also makes me determined to make every moment and each summer memory last.
You see, I feel that part of my job as a mother is to help my kids explore the world and have new adventures. At the same time, I desire for them to always remember their roots and they bond that we share as a family. While big vacations and holidays are great, I believe there is no greater time of connection than those every day moments.
The glass of lemonade and swinging on the front porch.
Playing chase and climbing in the back yard.
Exploring nature and turning sticks into swords.
And climbing the stairs to head into the house for family dinner.
After several summers of still reeling from the fact that we have triplets, THIS summer will be the one where we find our fun. I don’t have all the answers on how to create bonds for my kids that will last a lifetime, but I’m determined to try. And a summer filled with water, picnics, and parks sounds like a great way to start.
To gear up the family for our summer adventures, I teamed up with my friends over at Zappos.com to outfit us all in awesome-sauce Crocs. Zappos promises fast, free shipping, a 365 day return policy (umm..that’s a whole year!), and great customer service. One of my little boys will spend the summer sporting the Crocs Kids Swiftwater Realtree Xtra Clog, while the others will be wearing the regular Crocs Kids Swiftwater Clog in different colors. I love how the Crocs pair just as well with casual outfits as they do with these cute shorts and dress shirts!
My daughter chose the Crocs Kids Isabella Glitter Jelly Flat. I also found Crocs for the hubby and me. Hold the phone! Who would ever think that the men’s Crocs Swiftwater Mesh Moc and the women’s Crocs Isabella Flats are Crocs? They are super comfortable, stylish, and pair well with everything!
I’m excited to see where our family summer adventures take us, and I’ve even designed a free printable for you today as an expression of my excitement.
This printable is a combination of font and a hand drawn design.
To grab the free printable, right click on the photo below to save it to your computer. Print it using your favorite photo software, resizing it to your needs. It would look lovely as a graduation card or framed!
Family adventures and bonding can be as simple as going to the park or having a back yard picnic. They do not have to be elaborate or expensive. So, tell me, how will your family #FindYourFun this summer?
