Make this Strawberry Raspberry Sauce as the next topping for your cheesecake or other dessert. This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Sara Lee Desserts, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #SaraLeeDesserts https://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV
As much as I love chocolate and peanut butter and other decadent tastes, my very favorite flavors are the ones derived from fresh fruit. Fresh fruit makes everything taste better. Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and everything in between are my go-to toppings for desserts. Berry type fruits are easy to use for a quick sauce, and this Strawberry Raspberry Sauce only takes three ingredients!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 pound strawberries
- 6 ounce raspberries
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/3 cup sugar
Wash berries, and cut the strawberries into rough pieces.
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine all the ingredients. Stir frequently. The raspberries will break down and form the sauce. This will require no blending on your part (which is awesome!). Cook until the raspberries are down to a liquid form and the strawberries are soft.
Remove the sauce from the pan and let it cool slightly. Placing the sauce directly on the dessert from the stove will undoubtedly melt the dessert, which you probably will not want.
Store leftover sauce in the refrigerator.
This Strawberry Raspberry Sauce is the perfect homemade topping to add to a store bought cheesecake for a quick and easy dessert! Sara Lee Original Cream Classic Cheesecakes are my favorite! Recently, my husband and I took a meal to a couple that had a new baby. Along with their meal, I also sent a Sara Lee Original Cheesecake and a mason jar of Strawberry Raspberry Sauce. What a fast, yet tasty, dessert option to send to a friend! And since Sara Lee Cheesecakes store in the freezer, there are no excuses to not always show my Southern hospitality with a ready made dessert.
I grabbed my Sara Lee Cheesecakes from my local Food Lion. There you’ll find an instant redemption coupon on your Sara Lee Original Cream Classic Cheesecake package for $1.50 off the purchase of one cheesecake. This offer is good through 3/31/16, while supplies last. While at Food Lion, I also purchased a Sara Lee Pound Cake. This Strawberry Raspberry Sauce is delicious on top of pound cake, as well!
What dessert would you top with Strawberry Raspberry Sauce?
That looks so good! That sauce would be great over vanilla ice cream or a pound cake, too!
Oh my goodness! This looks amazing! I could eat it right out of jar! 🙂
At one point, I totally did! 🙂
Yep, I was thinking the same thing, this looks good enough to eat straight from the jar with a side of whipped cream.
Holy smokes! This looks fantastic! I will use it when the next family function comes around. 🙂
