Pillows can be a fun way to change holiday decor. Plus, they are fun to make! So when ILovetoCreate.com sent me a box of goodies, I knew that I wanted to make a bright Valentine’s Day themed pillow for my outdoor space. A special thanks to ILovetoCreate.com for the supplies! Pom pom trim adds a 3 dimensional touch.
Supplies:
- Heart stencil
- Stencil Spray Adhesive
- Paint roller
- Quick Dry Fabric Fusion
- Tulip Soft Fabric Paint in desired colors
- Pom pom trim
- Piece of cardboard
- Blank canvas pillow case, washed and ironed
Place the piece of cardboard inside the pillow case. This is just to prevent the paint from bleeding to the other side.
LIGHTLY spray the back of the stencil with a coat of adhesive spray. Press the stencil in the center of the pillow case.
Using the foam roller, apply a layer of paint over the stencil.
Lift up the stencil. Clean the stencil while the paint dries.
Repeating the above steps, paint a heart in the upper corner.
Repeat to apply a heart in the lower corner.
Let the paint dry completely.
Arrange the pom pom trim over the pillow in the shape of the word “Love.” Use the Quick Dry Fabric Fusion to adhere the pom pom trim to the pillow.
Leave the pillow case flat to let the glue dry.

Just a heart shaped runner. Very simple.
Your pillow is gorgeous! LOVE it!
I don’t have twitter, but did the pinterest and love to sign up for new craft sites. Who can’t use paint, seems like I have to go and get some every so often.
Thank you for sharing. Bless you.
Would love to win this as I am a crafter!
I’ve never decorated for Valentines Day before, but sounds like a really fun idea. I think I will give it a try!
