There is still lots of summer left, which means lots of cookouts and parties! I have a few parties for which to plan myself, and since my mind is in party mode, I decided to try an idea that I have had for a while but haven’t been able to execute it yet: Stamped Straw Toppers. A special thanks to PSA Essentials for supplying the stamps for today’s project as part of the PSA Essentials Design Team! While Straw Toppers are not a party necessity, they are a way to add a fun customization to any party theme. And since they only require a few supplies, they are also quick and easy to whip up!
Supplies
- Oval card stock pieces
- PSA Essentials Stamp Body
- PSA Essentials black ink
- PSA Essentials Peen & Stick Stamp of your choice
- Hole punch
I cut my oval card stock pieces using my Silhouette Cameo. If you have one of these handy machines, you can easily cut as many oval shapes as you need in whatever size that you need.
If not, draw an oval to use as a template and cut out several. You may check your local arts and craft stores for them, but I haven’t checked for them myself, so I am not for certain that they are available.
Place the PSA Essentials Peel & Stick Stamp of your choice on the PSA Essentials Stamp Body.
Stamp the oval in the center.
Use the hole punch to punch a hole at each end.
Place the straw through the holes.
Place the straw in your party beverage!
Use this idea for holidays, birthday parties, or just for getting together. What event would you make these Stamped Straw Toppers for?
