A few weeks ago, I shared how my daughter decided that she wanted a spa party this year. You know, a birthday party at one of those little girl spas. Then she threw the curve ball- she wanted it to be FROZEN themed! Umm…a Frozen themed spa party? Luckily, the owners of the spa already had a theme party option in the works, but I still had to figure out how to incorporate the spa theme into the invitations and the party favors. Thanks to the suggestions of a few friends, the FROZEN Spa Party Invitations were easy to create and assemble. And thanks to Amazon and a little fabric paint, these favor bags were easy, too!
Supplies to create the snowflake Spa Party Favor Bags:
- Small white bags (Thanks to Consumer Crafts for these!)
- EITHER Metallic blue fabric paint OR Metallic blue paint and fabric medium
- Snowflake stencil
- Small piece of cardboard
Begin by placing the small piece of cardboard in between the layers of the bag. The purpose of this is to make sure the paint does not bleed through to the other side. I used a piece of cardboard from another project, and it worked fine.
I cut a vinyl snowflake stencil from a shape from my (aff link) Cricut, but a snowflake stencil should be fairly easy to find in an arts and crafts store. Adhere the stencil to the bag.
If using regular paint and a fabric medium, mix the paint as directed on the back of the fabric medium. Paint over the stencil. Let dry for a few minutes then remove the stencil.
Let the paint dry completely before stuffing the bag with goodies!
