Easy Sweet Tea with Southern Breeze Sweet Tea

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Southern Breeze Sweet Tea. All opinions expressed are my own.ย

My husband loves sweet tea. The only problem is I tend to mess it up every time that I try to make it. Somewhere between the brewing and the steeping and the sugar addition I have a cooking meltdown. He’s always said that sweet tea is the one thing that I can’t make.ย  And he’s been right…until now. I’ve finally found a sweet tea that even I can’t complicate– Southern Breeze Sweet Tea.

So what makes this sweet tea so simple? The sweetener is INSIDE the tea bag! This eliminates a step for cooks like me that can’t figure out the “right” amount of sugar to add to my tea. Inside each tea bag is a combination of Splenda and real tea leaves that can satisfy any southerner’s craving for sweet tea- even my husband’s!

Even though brewing tea may be easy, Southern Breeze makes it mindless by providing step-by-step brewing instructions on the back of the box. I boiled two quarts of water, transferred the water to a large jug, and then placed two tea bags in the water to steep. After about five minutes, I removed the tea bags (psst….squeeze the bags into the water after removing them. That’s a tip that I learned from my grandmother. But, be careful, the bags will be hot!).

After a few hours in the refrigerator, the tea was ready to be placed over ice and enjoyed! And, if you’re an avid sweet tea drinker, then you’ll notice that I was able to skip the “adding sugar” step.

The hubby is ecstatic to finally have consistent, familiar sweet tea around the house. Southern Breeze Sweet Tea can be purchased at Harris Teeter, Ingles, Amazon.com, and Wegman’s. I’ll be heading out later this week to Harris Teeter or Ingles to buy another box.

Want to try Southern Breeze Sweet Tea for yourself? I’m giving away a gift package of Southern Breeze Sweet Tea that includes a box of Southern Sweet Tea and a Southern Breeze Sweet Tea mason jar. (Value: $10.00.) Entering to win is easy- simply leave a comment letting me know what you love about sweet tea, along with the email address where I can contact you should you win!

My husband is from the south, so we love sweet tea!! I tend to mess it up quite often, too, so this Southern Breeze would be awesome!!! A big glass of sweet tea reminds me of a hot summer day, relaxing and doing absolutely nothing! ๐Ÿ™‚

I love going down south for some sweet tea. We have iced tea here in the north and it’s just not the same!

I grew up in Texas and absolutely love sweet tea!! My favorite thing about Southern Breeze Sweet Tea is the fact that the sweetener is in the bag! That would make it SO much easier on me! Sometimes it’s hard for me to gauge how much sugar to put it when I make it!

I love the idea that this tea sweetens while it steeps. Sweet tea is great to drink in summer on hot days.
