My slow cooker is the best thing ever. Raise your hand if you agree! I enjoy adapting my favorite recipes to my slow cooker. I also like adding new products that I find to my slow cooker recipes. One of the best concepts that I’ve found to quickly spice up a slow cooker dish is to add a jar of salsa. Salsa contains so many ingredients and can instantly spice up a dish. Last month, I shared a One Pot Chicken Salsa Dish with My Brother’s Salsa. My Brother’s Salsa was super sweet to send me a jar of their Cranberry Orange Salsa as a thank you. And it is now my new favorite salsa! The flavor is unique and delicious. It’s sweet and spicy. It’s wonderful. When I picked up a slow cooker pork roast at the grocery store last week, I knew that the salsa would be just the thing to create a Slow Cooker Cranberry Orange Pork Roast.
Ingredients:
- 1 jar of My Brother’s Salsa Cranberry Orange Salsa
- 1 can chicken broth
- 1 green pepper, sliced
- 1/2 onion, sliced
- Pork roast
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper
Add a tablespoon of olive oil to the bottom of the slow cooker.
Pour in the can of chicken broth.
Add the pork roast to the slow cooker. Sprinkle salt and pepper on top of the pork loin.
Pour the jar of salsa on top of the pork roast. Add the sliced peppers and onions to the top of the salsa.
Cook on high for 4 hours.
The salsa spices up the pork roast, but not in an overly strong way. Add a few veggie sides, and dinner is done!
Tis looks just delicious!!! Yummm
