The Cricut EasyPress Mini is just about the cutest little crafting tool that I ever did see! As the newest addition to the Cricut EasyPress family, the EasyPress Mini is great for smaller projects. Its size makes it the perfect tool for traveling when I have an EasyPress project that I need to accomplish on-the-go. From hats, shoes, shirt sleeves, sleeve cuffs, pockets, and stuffed animals, the Cricut EasyPress Mini works with all of the unique crafting blanks that I use on a weekly basis. The Cricut EasyPress Mini is easy-to-use and has an even heat plate (just like the other tools in the Cricut EasyPress family).
Whether you have a Cricut Maker or a Cricut Explore Air 2, the Cricut EasyPress Mini makes the perfect companion to your Cricut machine. It is small enough to sit right by the machine as a convenient component to iron-on vinyl crafting!
My daughter loves her school and is always full of school spirit. Her school switched to a uniform policy this year, and she wears the same combo of colors every day. We decided to put the Cricut EasyPress Mini to the test by sprucing up a pair of canvas shoes to include school spirit colors to match her new uniforms.
Supplies:
- Cricut machine (Cricut Maker or Cricut Explore Air 2)
- Cricut Iron-on Vinyl (various colors)
- Cricut StandardGrip Cutting Mat
- Cricut EasyPress Mini
- White canvas shoes
This project is a simple iron-on vinyl craft and is perfect for even beginners! When selecting colors for iron-on vinyl, choose school colors for maximum school spirit! My daughter is using iron-on vinyl in black and deep purple.
Open up Cricut Design Space on the computer. Open a new blank canvas. For an easy first project, begin by choosing a simple geometric shape. My daughter likes the polka dot look, so she chose circles for these shoes. Fill the blank canvas with multiple circle shapes all at least under 0.5.”
Send the circles to the Cricut machine, cutting them on the iron-on vinyl. Weed the unnecessary vinyl from the circles.
Trim the circles from one another. Place them on the canvas shoes.
Heat the Cricut EasyPress Mini. Use the EasyPress Mini to adhere the circles to the shoes, removing the liner from the vinyl after securing the iron-on vinyl to the shoes.
Continue until the shoes are covered with school spirit polka dots!
Make them in all colors or try uploading your school mascot to Cricut Design Space to create shoes with even more school spirit!
How will you use the Cricut EasyPress Mini?
I love the new mini so much! I need to try it on some shoes as well!
