So what do you do when you have promised your daughter to dye Easter eggs, but you’ve not made it out of the house to buy the appropriate supplies? Well, you improvise. And you hope and pray that real eggs can stand up to Mod Podge and glitter.
Supplies:
- Hard Boiled eggs
- Assorted glitter colors (I used a Princess Glitter Caddy from Craftprojectideas.com)
- Mod Podge Wash Out for Kids
- Small sponge
- Lots of platters/plates/etc. for glitter
Begin by covering the eggs with lots of the Mod Podge. I used a small sponge for this. Place a thick covering over the entire egg.
Let your child(ren) roll the eggs in assorted colors of glitter. Try to get good coverage. This may be hard for the little ones, but they will have a blast doing it anyway.
Phew- crisis averted. I love it when I can use simple things that I have on hand for projects with the little one. Especially when getting out to the store is getting more and more difficult with all the kiddos. 🙂
How fun! Thanks for sharing!
Love this!! Makes a glitter girl smile! I doubt this would be very appropriate for my two boys though 🙁 haha Love to have you share at my party!!

Those are so pretty! I’m sure my girls will prefer glittery eggs over dyed ones anytime. I better get some of that mod podge for kids! (I never even knew they had that, thank you!)
