Are you still following along with the Craft Through the Bible series? I’ve noticed lots of pins on Pinterest coming from the series, so hopefully you all are finding use for these fun but purposeful crafts. Today, we are still trucking along through Genesis. This craft is inspired by Genesis 9:13. It is an inexpensive paper plate craft that is great for Sunday School groups, VBS, or Children’s Church.
Supplies:
- Uncoated paper plate
- Assorted paint colors
- Paintbrush
- “O” cereal
- Glue
Begin by cutting a paper plate in half. You only need one half plate per child. Let the child glue the cereal on the paper plate in a rainbow shape. Make sure that there is at least one row for each color. I’m going old school and using the “Roy G. Biv” method, so that is how we got seven colors.
Paint one color on each row of cereal.
Let the paint dry completely. We also used a sky blue color to paint a sky background behind the rainbow.
Optionally- if you want to hang the craft, use a hole punch to create a hole in the top of the rainbow. Place string through the hole for hanging.
