I can’t tell you how many times over the past fifteen months that I’ve skipped breakfast. It’s been unintentional every time- I’m not one of those people who doesn’t eat breakfast. I have so many things to do for the kids in the morning that by the time I get a chance to eat it’s almost lunch. So I just skip breakfast, which is not a smart move, I know. I’ve discovered that if I’m actually going to get to eat breakfast then I need something fast and preferably microwaveable. Tyson Day Starts are great for quick breakfast ideas for a mom of multiples! And since it’s berry season here in the south, I’ve been whipping up a Blueberry Banana Smoothie with fresh blueberries straight from the orchard.
While there are several varieties of Tyson Day Starts, my favorites are the Egg, Cheese, and Bacon Breakfast Flatbreads and the Sausage Egg & Cheese Biscuits. Don’t ask me to choose a preference between those two because I couldn’t do it!
After only a few minutes in the microwave, my breakfast is ready to go. I don’t even have to sit down to eat it.
And if I just happen to have a few extra moments, this Blueberry Banana Smoothie mixes up in the blender in a blink!
Ingredients:
- 1 Banana
- 1/2 Cup Unsweetened Almond Coconut Milk
- 1 cup Blueberries
- Half a Lemon
- 3/4 Cup Ice
Ready for this ultra complicated recipe? Dump the blueberries, peeled banana, ice, and milk in a blender. Squeeze the juice from the lemon into the blender. Blend until smooth. And that’s it!

I am glad that I not only get to have breakfast regularly now, but also that it’s a protein packed, easy breakfast! Day Starts have 24% or more of my daily protein intake. The taste of the Day Starts is indicative of the high quality meats and cheeses within the products. I’ll be picking up more Tyson Day Starts this week at Walmart in the frozen foods section.
