Giving back IS the Christmas spirit. I honestly don’t have anything on my own Christmas list this year. Ever since my son’s recovery from chemotherapy and remission from cancer, I truly have a satisfaction that I have everything that I need for the first time in my life. Now, I find joy in giving back to others. We have four kids, so we aren’t financially able to do as much as I would like to for others, but I’m always happy to do so when we can.
One place that has been a sanctuary for all four of my kids is their preschool. My daughter graduated from there, and the triplets are in their second year there. I know that this is one of the places that they feel safe, cared for, and experience fun and new friends. I watch them on the playground sometimes, running happily and talking with other kids. It makes me happy that they are happy.
Toys are not cheap, and, like every preschool, ours has been in need of a few play items. When Step2 contacted me about participating in their Play It Forward campaign, I new that I would donate it to my kids’ preschool. And that’s just what we did!
I can’t show any pictures of the preschool kids playing on it for privacy reasons, but I’ve been able to first hand witness the enjoyment that the Step2 Turbo Coupe Interceptor has brought the kids. Every time I walk through the play room, there is a different kid riding around doing their best police imitation. I’m glad that they are loving it, and I’m excited that we could donate it to a place that has made my kids, and many others, happy.
