When I first started crafting and making things as a teenager, my grandmother always had an ample supply of what she called pipe cleaners. We used them often, and I’ve always thought of them as fun crafting supplies. I keep a supply of them myself now that I have a daughter of my own who likes to make things. Nowadays, they’re called fuzzy sticks. But, no matter what you call them, they tend to fly about and take up a lot of storage space. If you’re looking for an idea of how to store them better, I’m sharing a Pipe Cleaner Storage idea today.
This storage idea is a recycled one. My kids love these little snacks, and I always feel badly about tossing them. But these tall containers make perfect storage for pipe cleaners!
All you really need for this is an empty, clean, and dry tall snack container with the label removed.
If you want to dress it up a bit, grab a piece of colored card stock, a stamp, and glue dots.
I’ve used my PSA Essentials stamp body, PSA Essentails Peel & Stick stamp, and PSA Essentials Poppy Orange ink to create a fun label for the front. I also wrapped a few pipe cleaners around the container for a pop of color.
Simply cram the container full of pipe cleaners, and that’s it!
