The weather is cooler, and school has started back again. Getting into the routine can be tough- especially now that the routine includes three babies. My daughter just attends preschool, but she still comes home hungry and tired. Her bedtime has been moved up from our lazy summer days. In an attempt to still provide my daughter with a homecooked dinner, I’m taking full advantage of awesome, quick meals like the ones provided by Pillsbury. We always have Pillsbury biscuits on hand around our house, so they are the perfect item to make a fast dinner. I’ve made several items from the free downloadable Pillsbury recipe booklet, but today I’m sharing Grands! Grilled Cheese Sandwiches.
This recipe requires three simple ingredients and cooks up in a flash. And the best part? It’s customizable! Have a kid that enjoys a grilled cheese with bacon? Like to dip a grilled cheese in salsa? Each child can have the grilled cheese their way! Since I have a picky eater, we’re having them plain, but it’s nice to know that you can easily change it up.
- 1 can (16.3 oz) Pillsbury® Grands!® refrigerated buttermilk biscuits (8 biscuits)
- 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
- 8 slices (2/3 oz each) American cheese
- Separate dough into 8 biscuits. Press each to form 5 1/2-inch round. In 10-inch skillet, heat oil over medium heat until hot. Add biscuit rounds, a few at a time; cook 3 minutes. Turn; cook about 3 minutes longer or until light golden brown. Remove from skillet. Place 2 slices of cheese on each of 4 biscuit rounds. Top with remaining biscuit rounds. Return to skillet; cook 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown. Turn; cook about 2 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
How easy is that?!? And with more recipes like Easy Grands! Chicken Pot Pie, Grands! Barbecue Cups, Grands! Chicken Pot Pie Puffs, Grands! Mini Pizzas, or Grands! Unsloppy Joes, dinner can be different every night! Check out the recipe booklet and tell me which recipe you’re most excited to try!

Wow, Melanie! These look delicious! I can imagine putting an egg or some sausage on those and calling it breakfast too (it’s morning and I’m starving!).
