Still looking for a quick and easy recipe to make for your loves for Valentine’s Day? I originally made this for my husband, but my kids (specifically one cobbler loving little boy) devoured it before he was able to try it. It’s a good thing I had my camera handy. At least now there is photographic evidence that there was, at one point in time, this Pie Filling Strawberry Cobbler inside our house. A special thanks to Wilton Armetale for sponsoring today’s giveaway of the lovely Flutes and Pearls Heart Dish that is featured in today’s recipe!
Skip the extra steps of making your own filling by using canned filling. This also allows the option to easily change up the fruit option- blueberry, raspberry, apple, or any other canned filling flavor that is available.
Ingredients:
- 1 can pie filling
- 1 cup flour
- 8 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- Pinch of salt
Preheat oven to 350. Mix all the ingredients except for the pie filling in a medium sized bowl. Grease the pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Pour the mixture into the pan.
Spoon the pie filling on top of the mixture. Do this a little bit at a time as the filling is heavy. In other words, do NOT just dump the entire bowl of filling in the mixture at once.
Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until crust is cooking through.
The pie filling settles in the crust once baked, but once you cut the cobbler open, you’ll see the filling is spread all throughout the crust!
This recipe was designed to fill the Flutes and Pearls Heart Dish from Wilton Armetale perfectly! I love the versatility of the Wilton Armetale items. Even though they are not dishwasher safe, the cookware can go from freezer to oven to tabletop to fridge I was able to bake my cobbler, let it cool, then stick it in the refrigerator without transferring the contents to another dish.
Wilton Armetale is generously offering a Flutes and Pearls Heart Dish up for grabs to FIVE winners! Yay! Use the below form to enter to win. Giveaway winners will be chosen randomly by Wilton Armetale. Prize fulfillment by Wilton Armetale.

I received a Wilton Armetale bowl from my grandmother and aunt for my wedding several years ago and I absollutely LOVE it! I didn’t think I would use something like that, but it is so versatile and easy to take care of. Their new Monogram collection is gorgeous and the platters are just the right size. Looking forward to my next piece!
