This week- favorite fall desserts. Taking another suggestion from my readers, I decided to make Personal Apple Pies.
These are easy and less stress than traditional apple pie with the same great taste! The main steps are to make a fillable pie structure, and then fill it with your favorite pie filling!
- Stack of Eggo Waffles- 2 per pie
- Can of Apple Pie filling
- Cinnamon
- Whipped Topping
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Cook Eggo Waffles in toaster on low setting.
- Remove waffles from toaster and lay one flat on a plate with the curved side of the waffle facing down.
- Take a second Eggo and cut a circle in the middle to form an Eggo ‘ring’.
- Lay the ring on top of the other Eggo with the curved side of the waffle facing down.
- Spoon a generous portion of apple pie filling into the circle.
- Place the Eggo ‘pie’ on a shallow baking pan and bake for 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool. Sprinkle with cinnamon and top with whipped cream.
Now, I need YOUR help again! If you could rename this recipe, what would you call it? What’s a fall spin that I can put on the name of this recipe? Leave your comments below!
Oh, I’m bad at naming things… what about “Autumn Waffle Pie”? I think it looks delicious!!
Oooh, how about “Leggo My Pie”? That looks delicious and it’s a good excuse to use up some of the apples we have.
Wow, Melanie, is there anything you CAN’T make with an eggo waffle! You are continually amazing me with all your waffle inspirations! ๐
My kids would love these! ‘Leggo my Apple’?
Petite Apple Pies
Oh my goodness, this looks so good!
As far as a name though, I got NOTHING. I’m so uncreative it’s ridiculous!
What about Petite Eggo Pie? I like Adrianne’s Waffle Pie suggestion.
Or Waffle tarts?
It looks scrumptious, Melanie! Love it!
Oh, this is such a creative way to use waffles! I’ve got to try this! Thanks for sharing!
That looks delish!!
I would call them apple spice breakfast cups. Or is it a cup? Hmmm…It kind of is, it looks cupped. I’m going to stick with that. LOL
hmmm… I’m lost for words, I can’t think of a name! ๐ but this pie is really something I should try!
I like waffle tarts, or leggo my apple – I’m terrible with names, but you’ve got some great suggestions already!
Applicious Eggo Pie… and that’s as good as it doesn’t get from me I’m afraid! This looks awesome though- these waffles are seriosuly more versatile than I ever would’ve thought before! Great idea, Melanie ๐
Cute name!
You had me at “apple pie”. Yum. There isn’t much I love more than warm apples. This looks fantastic!
Thank you!
what a simple, but delicious idea for apple pie! I honestly would have never thought to do that.
Thank you!
What a FANTASTIC idea! So cute! My kids are going to love this! Totally pinning and plan to make this weekend!
I like the name idea someone had of ‘Applicious Eggo Pie’. I can’t come up with anything better than that! ๐
