What We Did This Weekend: Peppermint Chocolate Chip Milkshake

Want to know what we did this weekend? Each week on Monday or Tuesday, I’ll share something great that we did from the past weekend. I’ll only share the best of the best blogger recipes and ideas, and in line with the tone of this blog, I’ll make sure that each one maximizes YOUR time to the fullest. Yesterday we made Peppermint Chocolate Chip Milkshakes. They were yummy and literally only took five minutes.

Peppermint Chocolate Chip Milkshake

I found this great recipe over at Your Homebased Mom. I didn’t have any candy canes left over from Christmas- those were thrown out on December 26- but I had peppermint extract. I also used the “half the fat” ice cream. But that’s the great thing about this recipe- it’s still wonderful with a little tweaking!

Check out the recipe when you need a break from the New Year’s diet! And since it whips up quickly, the milkshake makes a great impromptu sweet treat.

Wow, are you trying to tempt us away from our new years resolutions! That looks delicious (you do say “half the fat” ice cream don’t you so that makes it practically a health food!)

I know! If you use a healthier version of an unhealthy food, doesn’t that make it healthy?? 🙂
