Want to know what we did this weekend? Each week on Monday or Tuesday, I’ll share something great that we did from the past weekend. I’ll only share the best of the best blogger recipes and ideas, and in line with the tone of this blog, I’ll make sure that each one maximizes YOUR time to the fullest. Yesterday we made Peppermint Chocolate Chip Milkshakes. They were yummy and literally only took five minutes.
I found this great recipe over at Your Homebased Mom. I didn’t have any candy canes left over from Christmas- those were thrown out on December 26- but I had peppermint extract. I also used the “half the fat” ice cream. But that’s the great thing about this recipe- it’s still wonderful with a little tweaking!
Check out the recipe when you need a break from the New Year’s diet! And since it whips up quickly, the milkshake makes a great impromptu sweet treat.

That looks absolutely delicious! Great pics!
My daughter really enjoyed it. Thanks!
Wow, are you trying to tempt us away from our new years resolutions! That looks delicious (you do say “half the fat” ice cream don’t you so that makes it practically a health food!)
I know! If you use a healthier version of an unhealthy food, doesn’t that make it healthy?? 🙂
Tweeted this yummy dessert.
Yum, can’t wait to try it. Pinned for later!
Looks so good! Your pictures are amazing. 🙂
Thank you! I’ve been working on my photography so that means a lot!

I’m trying so hard to be good– but oh that looks yummy! It combines my two favorite things, mint and chocolate…what could be a more awesome treat? (Heading for the blender now.)
It was a nice weekend treat, for sure!
That looks so sinfully delicious! Can’t wait to try it.
