Owl Valentine’s

I’m trying to stay ahead of the game this year by making the little one’s Valentine’s cards early. Of course, February still sneaked up on me somehow. Hey, at least they are done before February 14!

This year, I tried to come up with a non-candy Valentine. I’m sure I’ll be the only lame mom in the group, but holidays don’t have to be all candy, right? These Owl Valentine’s use pencils as their little perch.

I’ve been trying to break out my Cricut more, and I made my Valentine’s Owl cut-outs and layers with the Everyday Pop-Up cards cartridge. I have to admit, it was so much easier than cutting out 16 cards by hand!

To attach the pencils, I use a hole punch to make two circles below the owls’ claws, then inserted the pencil.

I also used cute wiggly eyes from craftprojectideas.com.

Don’t have a Cricut? Use a cute owl silhouette like {this one} to make your shape.

Disclosure: I received product from craftprojectideas.com. All crafts created and opinions are my own.

So cute! I pinned this (but FYI, the Pin It button isn’t working for me – it comes up with no picture. It might just be me but I thought I’d mention it in case you want to check your code). 🙂
