I’m ready for the colors of summer. Vibrant colors that match the blossoming flowers and the bring pink on my daughter’s bathing suit. I live in color, but I am not mindful of baking in color. Why can’t my treats be as colorful as my everyday life? That’s the thought process behind today’s sugar rush recipe. No Bake TWIX Cookies disappear faster than it takes to make them. Thankfully, making these cookies doesn’t take long, so feel free to whip up several batches. I also think these would be fun to match to a kid’s birthday party theme.
Ingredients:
- Various colors of colored candy discs
- Crackers
- TWIX Bites, 6 ounce bag
Regular readers know that I like creating sweets with MARS Bites, such as the TWIX Bites. More than just a miniature candy bar, MARS Bites pack a punch of chocolate and other goodies in a small presentation. This makes them perfect for baking or creating treats with limited ingredients.
Begin by emptying one 6 ounce bag of TWIX Bites onto a microwave safe plate. Melt in the microwave for thirty seconds. When they are finished, get ready to move quickly. Place two TWIX Bites side by side in between two crackers and press together to form a TWIX Bite sandwich. Be careful with the crackers. They will break with too much force.
Set the TWIX Bites and crackers to the side. Melt the candy discs in the microwave as directed on the package. For one bag of TWIX Bites, I used 3/4ths of two different colors of discs. Only melt one color at a time.
Once completely melted, dip the TWIX Bites and crackers in the vibrant colored melted discs until the cookie is covered. Place on wax paper and allow the outer shell of the cookie to harden. .
I took these cookies to my husband’s youth group, and they were gone in a matter of seconds. The color draws you to the cookie, but the taste keeps you coming back for more!
I bought my TWIX Bites at Walmart. I visited a local in-store demo and snagged a coupon for my Bites. I’m happy to pass along a coupon to my readers, as well! Receive $1.00 off the purchase of two 2.83 oz. or larger bags OR $3.00 off the purchase of two 6 oz. or larger bags with this coupon.
I’ll leave you with this cute TWIX Bites video. It reinforces the great things that I like about baking with #EatMoreBites!
