New Mom Hospital Gift Bag with Cottonelle Clean Care #shop #CottonelleRoutine

CB-sponsored-post-gray-script-600

Just in case you missed all the hubabalu around here, I had triplet boys earlier this year. As the end to a trying pregnancy, I spent ten days in the hospital- seven before having the boys, and then three afterwards. This stay was extremely difficult. I was miserable, far from the comforts of home, and hooked up to monitors every few hours. I was blessed to have lots of visitors who brought me food and goodies. But during my stay I discovered that there were items I had either forgotten to bring with me or wished that I had sent someone out to buy for me. Do you have a new (or soon-to-be) mom in your life? Here are the must-have essentials to pamper her with a New Mom Hospital Gift Bag, complete with the Cottonelle Clean Care Routine.

New Mom Hospital Gift Bag with Cottonelle from It Happens in a Blink

Hair Supplies

Being in the hospital means every day is a bad hair day. Hair ties, hair bands, or other supplies are great items to give to a mom in the hospital. And for some reason, those were the items that I completely overlooked to pack in my personal hospital bag.

Toiletry Items

Most hospitals will supply a soap bar or maybe a small vial of lotion, but the brands they offer are generic and not very pampering. If you know the mom’s specific brand preferences, then by all means include those in the bag. But, if not, then pick a popular brand that is a winner with everyone. I liked getting Burt’s Bees products. They have wonderful hand cream and lip balm. A nice soap is a great idea for the bag, too. Buy a small trial size of a soap like Dove. Trust me- your new mom will appreciate using a non-hospital brand soap after her delivery or during her stay.

Cottonelle Clean Care Routine

Ok- let’s be honest. Having a baby, whether by “normal” means or a cesarean section, wreaks havoc on a gal’s nether region. Hospitals supply items like Witch Hazel Pads or little water squirt bottles and rough toilet paper. If there’s anything that needs pampering after having a baby, it’s the nether region for sure. I totally wish that I had thought to ask someone to bring me the toilet paper and moist wipes from the Cottonelle Clean Care routine.

The Cottonelle Clean Care Routine starts with the Cottonelle Fresh Care toilet paper. This toilet paper is super soft, durable, and absorbent- all things that a toilet paper should be after having a baby. Follow it up with the Cottonelle Fresh Care moist wipes. These wipes are flushable (yay!) so no one has to see it thrown in the trash. The wipes are gentle on those wrecked-after-baby intimate parts, and they get rid of that yucky after-birth feeling. The fact that they smell awesome is just another plus. Even if you feel strange giving a new mom toilet paper, the Cottonelle Fresh Care moist wipes are truly a must-have for a New Mom Hospital Gift Bag.

Awesome idea! Even after a c-section, the going was rough and wipes like these were very welcome.
I can’t believe you’re blogging after triplet boys! Congrats on even being able to look at a computer ๐Ÿ™‚

I think that a hospital “care kit” for an expectant mama is a great idea, Melanie. I hadn’t ever thought of packing toilet paper, but you’re so right – it’s probably a lot cushier than the hospital grade. Three days post-partum at the hospital must have been very trying. You’re a superwoman (for many reasons)!

I completely know what you mean! I think I hated the hospital stay even more than the deliveries of my kiddos! This is such a cool idea for a baby shower gift! Will definitely be using this idea next time I have a baby shower to go to!

You did such a great job! I love the idea of adding soft things into a new mom hospital bag. It’s something most moms wouldn’t think about needing after baby is born, but it is SO important!
