Do you have a few crafting supplies at home? That’s all this Moon and Star Paper Plate Craft requires. My kids get the crafting bug in the winter, and this is a fun one that can also double as room decor for a bit.
Supplies for the Moon and Star Paper Plate Craft:
- Paper plate (uncoated highly recommended)
- Gray paint
- Workspace covering
- Hole punch
- 6″ piece of twine
- Scissors (safety scissors for those kiddos under the age of 6!)
- Yellow cardstock
Steps to Make the Craft:
Grab the paper plate and draw a crescent shape. Don’t worry if you are not a great freehand artist. I’m not! Cutting and painting will forgive any drawing mistakes.
Cut along the line.
On a covered workspace, paint the moon gray. Allow it to dry it completely.
While the paint is drying, cut a star out of yellow cardstock. This website has several good templates for stars.
With the hole punch, make a hole in the top of the moon and the star.
Connect the two with the twine. Trim any excess twine.
