As I write this, it is the first full day of spring. It is also snowing outside. Just why???? I am ready for warmer weather and spring colors, as I am sure many of you are. It may not look much like spring outside, but perhaps I can create a little spring inside. With floral colors and light metallics, this Metallic Terra Cotta Candle Holder is a quick and easy craft that I can add to my spring decor. A floral smelling candle doesn’t hurt, either!
This craft has a time frame of under 15 minutes and uses minimal supplies.
Supplies:
- Small terra cotta pot with saucer
- DecoArt Metallic Lustre in Champagne Ice
- Cloth
- Hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
Make sure that the terra cotta (clay) pot and saucer are clean and dry.
Use the cloth to cover both the pot and the saucer with the DecoArt Metallic Lustre. Use light layers and add more as needed to get thorough yet even coverage.
Once both pieces have dried completely, hot glue the saucer to the pot, making sure that the technical “top” of the pot is on the bottom. Use ample amounts of hot glue and press the saucer firmly on the glue.
Add candle.
Now, if only the snow would clear!
This craft takes less than 15 minutes, excluding drying time. I’m sharing this craft as part of the Craft Lightning series.
What a great idea and so easy! I love that metallic paint!
The metallic really adds to it! Thanks for joining!
