Thank you to Sam’s Club for sponsoring today’s post and helping me get ready for tailgating this Football Season.
I’ve been a Sam’s Club member for years. We’ve bought all of our electronics from there, and recently, most of our food. When we were first married, the hubby and I wondered when we would need to purchase food in bulk, and we found out quickly when we had triplets! Even if your family isn’t huge, buying at Sam’s Club with their right prices is a smart idea. In addition to my pantry, I also have a small closet downstairs where I store food that I purchase in bulk. I never know when I might need something handy, especially when game day comes around. With four kids in tow, all of our “Tailgating” happens at home (is there such a thing as “Homegating”?). Today I’m sharing one of my go-to recipes for when the hubby surprises me with the news that his friends are coming over to watch TV. This Meatlover’s Queso Dip is a crowd pleaser, and it only takes about 10-15 minutes to make (or less!). I buy the Kraft Velveeta 5 LB Loaf from Sam’s Club, and then I can make as little or as large a dish as I need.
This recipe is listed with ingredients per pound of Kraft Velveeta. Be sure to adjust it according to how many pounds that you are using.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound Kraft Velveeta, cubed
- Half pound ground beef, cooked and drained
- 4 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
- Half of a package of pepperoni, quartered
- Half of a package of diced ham
- 4 oz. of cream cheese
- 1 can of tomatoes and green chilis
Mix above ingredients in a large skillet. Cook on stovetop on medium until the cheese is melted thoroughly. Serve warm with tortilla chips.
The thin tortilla chips won’t cut it with this recipe- be sure to have some thick chips or scoop-type chips to hold all the meat goodness!
If you’re more into “Homegating” than Tailgating, check out these items at Sam’s Club the next time that you are there! The food items are great to just have on hand, and the entertainment and cooking items are just plain awesome!
Oh yum! I bet that meat blend is delicious. I make a very meaty dip for football too, but it doesn’t have pork in it at all so not I definitely want to try your version!
