With four kids and a water bottle each, water bottle stickers are all the rage here in my house. I’m excited to now be able to make our own water bottle stickers with the new Cricut Joy Xtra. This post is sponsored by Cricut. All opinions about the machine are my own.
Did you catch the announcement? Cricut recently launched an awesome new machine for the hobbyist crafter. The Cricut Joy Xtra is perfect for home use, but I’m even more excited about the new materials that came along with the launch. The Printable Waterproof Stickers are already a favorite crafting medium in my house. I have four kids, all who have water bottles for school. Of course, water bottle stickers are hugely popular, not to mention expensive. And each kiddo wants their own very specific sticker sets, which are not always easy to find. Yet with the Printable Waterproof Stickers, everyone is happy!
How Do I Use the Printable Waterproof Stickers?
With any new product comes a slight learning curve. These Printable Waterproof Stickers are easy to use with the following instructions.
First, print your design using only the bottom layer (white or clear, with printed grid and Cricut logo
on back).
Next, apply the laminating sheet on top of the printed sheet. The laminating sheet pack has a QR sticker on the back. Peel off a strip of the laminating sheet liner just above the sticker to expose a small area
of the laminating sheet. Use the exposed area of laminating sheet to line it up on top of the printed vinyl sheet. Smooth down. Peel off the rest of the laminating sheet liner and smooth onto the rest of the printed vinyl sheet.
Lastly, place the printed vinyl and laminating sheet on the machine Cricut Joy Xtra mat and load it into the machine for cutting.
Tip: To help hold printed vinyl sheet in place while applying the laminating sheet, first place the printed
vinyl sheet onto the machine mat.

How to Make
First, design your water bottle stickers in Cricut Design Space. Be sure to flatten the images so that the individual pieces of each image do not get cut.
Send the images to your inkjet printer and print.
Now it’s time to cut. First, place the printed vinyl sheet on the LightGrip machine mat. Peel off a strip of the laminating sheet liner just above the sticker to expose a small area of the laminating sheet. Use the exposed area of laminating sheet to line it up on top of the printed vinyl sheet. Smooth down. Peel off the rest of the laminating sheet liner and smooth onto the rest of the printed vinyl sheet.
Load the mat into the Cricut Joy Xtra machine. Follow the instructions on the Cricut Design Space screen to cut the stickers.
Once the stickers are cut, remove them from them vinyl sheet and apply them to the water bottle.
My daughter adores dogs, and she picked out these beagle images for her water bottle.
