Make a Star Wars Lollipop Classroom Valentine

Make a Star Wars Lollipop Classroom Valentine and encourage your pals to Join the Heart Side with this Stormtrooper themed valentine! Use card stock and a Cricut machine to make several of these in a matter of minutes. My boys are still in elementary school where classroom valentines are fun and exciting. Of course, add a little treat to a valentine, and they even more popular. We’ve had a few favorite homemade classroom valentines over the years, including these Coloring Valentines with crayons included or these adorable Dinosaur Valentines, but the current obsession is Star Wars!

Yes, Star Wars can be applied to anything, even Valentine’s Day. And Cricut Design Space has a cut file ready-to-go for an easy classroom valentine that combines a sweet treat + Star Wars.

About the Star Wars Valentine Cut File

This cut file is in Cricut Design Space. It is titled “Stormtrooper Sucker Holder.” You can find the ready-to-go cut file here. I have already sized it for a standard size lollipop. If you are not a Cricut Access subscriber, the image used in today’s project will probably cost a small fee. If you have considered becoming a Cricut Access subscriber but are still questioning if it is an investment for you, check out this article on Do I Really Need Cricut Access?

Supplies Needed to Make a Star Wars Lollipop Classroom Valentine:

  • Cricut cutting machine: The Cricut Explore Air 2 series machines or Cricut Maker will work with this project.
  • Cricut Weeding Tool
  • Card stock in 2 colors- light pink and darker pink
  • Cricut Pen
  • Cricut Scoring Stylus (for Cricut Explore machine or Cricut Maker) OR Cricut Scoring Wheel (for Cricut Maker only)
  • LightGrip Cutting Mat
  • Craft glue or gluestick
  • And, of course, a lollipop for each valentine!

Step One

Insert the ready-to-go cut file here into a Cricut Design Space canvas. If you would like to make more than one valentine, duplicate the design to the desired number.

Step Two

Send the design to the Cricut machine for cutting. Follow the instructions in Design Space carefully. You will need to swap out the scoring stylus or scoring wheel for the pen according to the Design Space instructions. The machine will score, cut, and draw in order to complete the design.

Cut the design completely.

Step Three

Remove the designs from the mat. Weed any unneeded card stock, but there should only be one place that contains this– the holes for the lollipop holder.

Glue the light pink piece on the top of the lollipop holder.

Fold on the scoring lines.

Step Four

Insert the lollipop in the valentine, placing the sticks through the holes to close the valentine.
