Loaded Mashed Potatoes Recipe

One thing my daughter inherited from me is a love of mashed potatoes. I need to add some flavor, though, so mine are usually loaded with goodies. Today, I’d like to share an easy Loaded Mashed Potato recipe- who doesn’t need easy this time of the year??

Ingredients:
  • One package of heat n’ serve mashed potatoes- I used the flavorful potatoes from Simply Potatoes. Yummy! Their potatoes are easy to make and taste like homemade.
  • 3 strips of bacon, finely chopped
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional: Chives, garlic, etc. I say “optional” because this pregnant belly will not tolerate chives and garlic, which are seasonings I used to eat every day.

Heat the Simply Potatoes in a medium saucepan as directed on package.
Once potatoes are heated,  stir in bacon and optional ingredients.

Stir in cheese last. Continue to heat until the cheese has melted.

Enjoy Loaded Mashed Potatoes with your family, and just smile when they thank you for peeling potatoes all afternoon :).
Do you want to try this recipe? I’m giving away a package of Simply Potatoes over on my Facebook page! Click {Here} to enter!

I may link this post to these parties.

I cannot stand ready made potatoes, but I can vouch for bacon and cheese in real potatoes. So Delicious! Add sour cream to them before the milk and they’re even better!

I haven’t tried this brand – but they look good, and you certainly can’t beat it for easy. I still love mashed potatoes made from scratch, but this would be a great and quick alternative for those nights when dinner needs to be on the table SOON!
Btw, thanks for the shout out you gave me in your post on Kendra’s blog….I feel famous! Life has been so nutty here, and I seem to have been sick for most of this past month – thankfully only a day or two or three in the “oh my gosh, I can’t move” way and the rest in the “I feel yukky, but it is only mildly annoying way that pretty soon you just don’t even notice because it is your new normal” way. Ha. I think I am almost all the way better now – hope I didn’t jinx it. I didn’t do alot of blog reading in those days, so I am anxious to get back into it, and also get lots of great holiday ideas, so keep them coming! have a great week.
