My husband and I are currently in Life After Whole30. We’ve finished Whole30 several months ago now, and while we’ve had a few setbacks, we are finding ways to manage our new found food freedom. My new goal has been to significantly reduce the amount of sugar and gluten that the kids consume. Yet kids are kids, making this difficult. They still have a sweet tooth, and I’ve been searching for something small to keep on hand to use as a treat or special surprise.
You may remember me referring to the Larabar as a huge help during our Whole30. They make outstanding Fruit and Nut bars in varieties like Cashew Cookie and Apple Pie. These are my favorite and are in the pantry at all times. The kids actually like them, too, as a sweet treat.
They also like the Larabar Bites Chocolate Macaroon. While these do have a small amount of sugar in them, they are gluten free, vegan free, and GMO free.
Now that my husband and I have conquered Whole30, our goal is to change the way that the kids think about food. In our society, this is difficult. But I believe that it starts at home. I may not be able to control what food that they have at Grandma’s house, but I can control what they have here and in their lunches. It’s all about the simple steps!
At Lärabar®, they believe that the foundation of a sound mind, body and spirit is derived from what you eat – and what you eat is most delicious and satisfying when it’s in a whole, natural state.
They believe that it doesn’t matter who you are, everyone deserves to eat great food. They are passionate about creating delicious, convenient snacks that are made from just a few, simple ingredients for everyone to enjoy.
To this day, the Lärabar team continues to be inspired by Lara’s vision. Their Original Fruit & Nut Food Bars are made with only a few, recognizable ingredients, are minimally processed, and GMO free.
