Welcome to the Handprint the Alphabet series for kids! We’re looking to learn and get creative with our preschoolers this summer. Today is letter “X.” “Y” is for a Yarn Ball! This project involves minimal mess and only uses the palm of one hand. Be sure to pop over and check out my Tips for Great Handprint Art with Kids post if you’ve never done handprint art with preschoolers before. I share a few pointers plus my go-to supplies!
Supplies (may include affiliate links):
- Paper
- Paint (any color)
- Matching marker or colored pencil
Apply a thick coat of paint to the palm one hand. Apply gentle pressure to the hand, and then lift it up. Clean off the hand. Let the paint dry completely.
Use the coordinating marker or colored pencil to draw the yarn ball around the paint.
Thanks for following along, and I’ll see you back tomorrow with the finale, the letter “Z!” I’d love to hear if you are joining in on the series with your kiddo. Feel free to post photos on my Facebook wall or tag me on Instagram!
