Thank you to US Family Guide and LEGO Kidsfest for supplying tickets for our family to experience this event.
Where do you take your block-loving kids? Where do you take those kiddos that build towers 5 feet tall? LEGO KidsFest, of course!
My husband and I took all four kids to LEGO Kidsfest in Charlotte this past weekend. I was amazed by the LEGO exhibits, and the kids adored the block pit. See the two block pits below? These are only LEGO Duplo blocks! The regular LEGO blocks were set up in other stations with tables and bins. We spent a large part of our evening at these pits.
The session hours began at 4 pm. We had quite a drive to Charlotte, and the traffic held us up about an hour. We arrived around 5 pm. We had no problem finding a parking space, and we didn’t have to wait in line at all! We were greeted by a worker immediately, and we were allowed right into the LEGO KidsFest. After entering the festival, the front center area held so many impressive exhibits. My boys’ favorite were the Super Hero exhibits. From Iron Man to Super Man to Hulk, they squealed and exclaimed over every amazing block sculpture.
My daughter loved the Disney princess exhibit and the LEGO friends exhibit. She built a fun house and exchanged it for a neat prize.
There was a movie center where the kids could relax and watch a LEGO show or movie. The concession area had snacks and different refreshments. We didn’t visit the marketplace, but I heard that there were some great LEGO deals and products to purchase.
We stayed almost until the end of the festival, and our kids didn’t want to leave.
If you have LEGO loving kids, then they will definitely appreciate LEGO KidsFest. If you are in the Charlotte area, the LEGO KidsFest is sold out through the weekend, but be sure to look out for it next year! The fest sells out pretty quickly. If you are in another state, check to see if there is a LEGO Kidsfest coming near you!
We just introduced the smaller legos to my toddler and he loves them! I will have to keep an eye out for this event next year. Thank you for bringing my attention to this event!
This looks like crazy fun! My sons would love it.
So fun! I would have loved to have taken Jay to one of these when he was younger!
We recently did a LEGO KidsFest and had a wonderful time! The pile of blocks was definitely where we spent most of our time!
