Large Felt Candy Corn

I’m excited to be a part of the Felt Food Week with Naptime Creations this week! As part of the week, I’m sharing a tutorial for Large Felt Candy Corn. These are cute for fall or Halloween decor or for kids. Since making mine, my daughter has hijacked them for the Halloween decor for her room. They are large enough for even itty bitty ones to enjoy candy corn without having the actual candy. Hey– what about a fall themed baby photo shoot with them? There are lots of possibilities, and these are easy to make for even beginner seamstresses.

Supplies:

  • Yellow felt
  • Orange felt
  • White felt
  • Sewing machine
  • Poly-fill stuffing
  • Coordinating thread
  • Scissors
  • Candy Corn Pattern

Begin by cutting out the candy corn pattern from the correct colors of felt.

Pin the yellow and orange pieces, right sides together.

Sew with a 1/4″ seam allowance.

Pin the orange and white pieces, right sides together. Sew with a 1/4″ seam allowance. (Yes, I ran out of orange felt for this piece! Boo! So I substituted orange fabric instead, but the pattern works much better with all felt!)

Open the candy corn piece and iron it flat.

Repeat to make another candy corn side.

Pin the two full candy corn pieces together, right sides together.
