I’m always bummed when winter arrives and my garden is no longer full. So when I had the chance to try out an indoor garden from Gardyn, I jumped at it! An indoor garden with herbs and little tomatoes during the winter? Yes, please!
What Is a Gardyn?
The Gardyn 3.0 is a hydroponic garden growing system. Gardyn is the only indoor garden with Hybriponics® technology. This means that the unit uses the smallest footprint with the maximum amount of harvest. The unit grows food vertically to make the most out of the space in my home. The Gardyn does need WiFi with a 2.4 GHz frequency. I do not have to worry about daily or weekly watering as the Gardyn provides water, nutrients, and light for me. So easy! The first harvest is ready in about five weeks.
The Gardyn also comes with my personal plant coach, Kelby. Kelby controls the lighting and lets me know when I need to top off the water or add food. I am able to edit the lighting schedule, as needed, but Kelby does a great job at determining the schedule, so I do not alter the schedule much. Kelby monitors 24/7.
Assembling the Gardyn
The Gardyn 3.0 is simple to put together. I assembled the unit myself in about thirty minutes. The Gardyn was packaged very well. See the photos below for my unboxing.
The seed pods arrive, ready to pop into the Gardyn once the cardboard is removed!

This past weekend, I was excited to host a party to show off my new indoor garden. We enjoyed pizza, salad (with a few fresh greens harvested from the Gardyn), and cookies. Guests loved the technology behind the Gardyn, and I demonstrated how to harvest some cilantro that was ready to eat. Guests loved that the small size and vertical space-saving of the unit.
