How to Train Your Dragon at Home Movie Night & Printable Tickets

“This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #TrainYourDragonAtWalmart http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV”

The very first movie that my husband and I ever took our daughter to in the theater was the initial movie in the How to Train Your Dragon series. Since then, the movie has had an endearing place in my heart. We have made it to see each movie in the series in the theater since then, and we always grab the movie when it is released in stores. The most recent installment, How to Train Your Dragon 3: The Hidden World, debuted in stores a few weeks ago. We snagged the How to Train Your Dragon Walmart Exclusive DVD Gift Set with the adorable two themed Funko keychains (Light Fury and Night Fury) and planned a home movie night right away.

My kids have been out of school for a little over a week. During the summer, we have several traditions, one of which is a weekly family movie night. We plan our weekly movie nights and allow the kids to take turns picking out the movie for the week. How to Train Your Dragon 3 was the first movie on our summer movie night list. With snacks, Toothless, and our own movie night tickets, our first summer family movie was a success! We picked up everything at Walmart, including How to Train Your Dragon 3 themed apparel and toys.

I designed and printed these tickets for our movie night to help build even more hype surrounding our movie watching. I’m sharing them here for you to use at your How to Train Your Dragon 3 movie watching party, too. Simply right click the images below to save them to your computer and then print using your home printer. There are three tickets per page for a total of six tickets.

I also created this matching movie night sign to post in the house during the day to “advertise” our movie. I placed the sign at the snack station when it was time for the movie. With four picky kids in the house, our movie night snacks are pretty basic and consist mainly of popcorn and chocolate candies.

All four of my kids had a blast at movie night. Did you know that How to Train Your Dragon 3 has a new character- a female dragon? She is my daughter’s new favorite character, and her inclusion was probably one of our favorite aspects of this movie. My boys, in typical male fashion, were mesmerize by any and all battle or fight scenes. The theme of doing the right thing even when it is hard is woven throughout the movie. My kids and I discussed how Hiccup and the other characters were rescuing the dragons. This process of rescuing those who could not rescue themselves led to a great talk with my oldest daughter about being a leader and helping others at school. As a mom, I always appreciate when a movie intended for children can lead to positive reinforcement of values that we have in our home.
