How to Arrange Pillows on Your Bed

Have you gotten a few new AWESOME pillows on your bed now?? I know I do! If you’ve participated in the entire Pillow Sew-Along and you have several new pillows, you (or maybe I should say the hubby) is probably wondering~ How the heck do I put these pillows on the bed?

Please note- this post is based on pillows made during the Glam Your Bed Pillow Sew-Along (the ribbon pillow, the quilted pillow, the embellished pillow, the round pillow, and the bolster pillow). Adjust the directions for the amount of pillows that you actually have on your bed if all of these do not apply.

Start with your sheets and comforter pulled up on the bed. Take the traditional sleeping pillows with pillowcases and prop them up at the head of the bed (we actually bought new sleeping pillows after seeing this photo. Who knew they were so floppy?!?).

Roll the bolster pillow in front of these pillows.
Prop the standard sham pillows (these are ones I already had on my bed prior to the sew-along) on top of the bolster pillow. The regular pillows should now be completely covered.

Lay the Embellished Pillow in front of the Bolster Pillow.

Arrange the smaller pillows around the Embellished Pillow.

Super easy! Don’t forget- I want to see those pillows! Link them to my Facebook page or to Things I’ve Done Thursday!

Beautiful pillows and bedding! I actually have 9 pillows on my bed when it is fully made up and fluffed, which happens maybe every other day ;o)
Love your photos…you are right, you have to put the pillows just so and then they make you smile.

Oooh, I never thought of putting the fancy pillows on TOP of the bolster. I would have put them behind, but on top makes everything covered better, I think.:)

I love my decorative pillows! They make me so happy… but the way I make my bed is so complex it takes 20 minutes at least. Oh well, it’s worth it. Your pillows are beautiful!
