Christmas is over; here come’s Valentine’s Day! In the crafting world, Valentine’s Day may be just as popular as the season of holly and greenery. Homemade valentines trend every year, and non-candy valentines are right up there with them. This Hooked on You Valentine is easy to make with your Cricut machine. If you do not have a Cricut machine, the kiddos can always cut card stock rectangles, use markers to write the words, and hole punch the places for the back pack zipper pull to attach to the card.
Supplies:
- Cricut machine – The Cricut Maker or Cricut Explore Air series machines will work for this project.
- Cricut LightGrip Cutting Mat
- Cricut Pen, 0.4 tip in black
- White card stock
- Back pack zipper pull. I’m using ones that come in bulk from Oriental Trading.
Open up Cricut Design Space. Use my already designed cut file found here. To resize the cut file for your specific zipper pull, click “customize.” Otherwise, click “make it now.”
Send the design to your Cricut machine. Be sure to have the Cricut Pen in the housing designed for the pen.
The Cricut machine will make the handout for you. Once it is complete, carefully pull the card from the LightGrip cutting mat. Insert the zipper pull through the holes carefully and it’s ready to go!
If this classroom Valentine handout isn’t the one for you this Valentine’s Day, maybe one of these will work:
