I am quickly becoming a Bible collector! This HCSB Illustrator’s Notetaking Bible is wonderful. Thank you to the B&H Publishing Group for sending one for me to check out!
I’ve reviewed several journaling Bibles over the past year or so. But I have yet to see anything like the HCSB Illustrator’s Notetaking Bible. Perfect for teens or adults, this notetaking Bible has pre-printed illustrations in the margins. Yep, you read that correctly! Are you like me and can barely draw a straight line with a ruler? Have you wanted to try Bible journaling but feel ill-equipped? You will love this Bible!
The Bible is not a study Bible, but it is geared towards those who would like to Bible journal or notetake in a decorative way. The Bible has over 600 images. There are not illustrations on every margin, leaving open margin space for your own images. The pre-printed illustrations are light grey in color. None of them are colored, allowing for readers to add their own colors as they wish. You could also leave the illustrations plain and hand letter your favorite verse over them.
The inside of the front and back cover has illustrations that can be colored, as well.
So grab your colored pencils and journaling supplies and get started! I recommend this Bible for journaling beginners or for seasoned artists. The leather bonding of the cover is in a lovely British Tan color. For more specifications, see the HCSB Illustrator’s Notetaking Bible information page. You may also purchase it on Amazon, where you’ll find not only the British Tan cover but a Purple Linen color, too.
This is the perfect starter Bible for those who want to get into bible journaling.
