One of my favorite features of the Cricut Joy machine is the ability to make cards quickly. I like to make cards and keep them on hand for special occasions, but sometimes I exhaust my supply and forget to make more. But with a quick Bluetooth connection and a mat specifically for card-making, the Cricut Joy spits out cards for birthdays and more! Head here to learn more about the Cricut Joy and check out my Amazon review here.

How to make the Happy Birthday Dude Card with the Cricut Joy
Open Cricut Design Space. Find the Happy Birthday Dude design here. Go ahead and create it!
Grab a card from the Cricut Insert Card pack. Be sure to double check what size the cards are. The size will be on the front of the card pack.
Insert the card into the card mat so that the top of the card is on the sticky part of the mat and the rest of the card is underneath the sticky part. The bottom of the card should align with the correct size of the card.
Follow the instructions in Cricut Design Space to send the design to the Cricut Joy. Cut the design as instructed.
Remove the card from the mat. The cut portions should stay on the mat, but, if not, weed the unnecessary portions from the card. Use the scraper tool to clean the mat.
Place an insert piece in the card behind the front of the card, inserting the piece in the corners.
Optional: Secure the insert with Glue Dots or a spot of craft glue.
