I’ve never been a huge fan of Valentine’s Day. Is it okay to say that out loud? Remember how Lucy felt about Christmas in the Charlie Brown classic? “Look, Charlie, let’s face it. We all know that Christmas is a big commercial racket. It’s run by a big Eastern syndicate.” Yep. I feel that way about Valentine’s Day. It’s definitely run by a big Eastern syndicate. But I have a daughter who loves all holidays. Every. Single. One. Even President’s Day. And she’s in preschool. So I make an effort to get in the spirit for her sakes, if nothing else. This year, I’ve decided to change the way I look at Valentine’s Day. Instead of a day to just spend money, what if I focus on it as a day to reflect on God’s Love? That’s definitely worth celebrating. And it’s run by more of a heavenly syndicate. I thought that some of you may want to do the same with me this year.
